Frank Vascellaro
co-anchors the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. news
Monday through Friday at WCCO. In 2006, Frank and
his wife, Amelia Santaniello, became the first
married couple to co-anchor a daily news program in
the Twin Cities. Frank was awarded the 2011 and 2012
Regional Emmy for Best Anchor and Mpls. St. Paul
Magazine named Frank "Best News Anchor" in its
December 2012 issue. Frank and Amelia are deeply
involved with the community and frequently serve as
the master of ceremonies at some of the Twin Cities
premier charity events. They live in Minneapolis
with their three kids and two dogs.
Amelia co-anchors the 5

at WCCO. Readers of The Minnesota Women’s Press
picked her as their favorite local female television
personality. City Pages editors named her Best
Newscaster in the Twin Cities in 2000. Amelia
started her career at WUSA in Washington, D.C.,
where she was a reporter trainee. From there, she
went to WETM-TV in Elmira, N.Y., to WNEP-TV in
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to WTIC-TV in Hartford,
Conn. Amelia grew up in a career military family and
lived in Virginia (where she was born), Japan and
Texas.
