Mike Tattersfield

Caribou Coffee Company

 

Michael “Mike” Tattersfield joined Caribou Coffee Company in August of 2008, and is the President and Chief Executive Officer.  In this capacity, Mike has full responsibility for the financial performance of Caribou Coffee, the second largest gourmet coffeehouse company, and for overseeing the operation of the 400+ gourmet coffeehouses, domestic and international franchise development, commercial channel development, and the strategic development and differentiation of the Caribou Coffee brand.   Mike is accountable to the Caribou Coffee Board of Directors, and leads the more than 6,500 Caribou Coffee team members.

 

Prior to joining Caribou Coffee, Mike developed a proven track record as an accomplished executive. His career spans approximately 20 years of leadership accomplishments in finance, operations and general management within the restaurant and specialty retail industries, and he has extensive experience working both domestically and internationally.

 

Mike is a member of the National Restaurant Association, the Specialty Coffee Association of America.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Peter Piper Pizza Company.

 

Mike holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University.  He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Christine, and their two daughters and enjoys running, reading, coaching and skiing.
