Speaker: Craig R. Lisher, Special Agent at the FBI's Minneapolis Division
SA Lisher was appointed as a Special Agent in 2004 and has been assigned to the Minneapolis Joint Terrorism Task Force where he is recognized as one of the agency's subject matter experts on national security crimes, including terrorism in the Horn of Africa.
During his tenure with the FBI, SA Lisher has had a key role in some of the Minnesota’s most notorious cases, including the Minneapolis foreign fighter cases, the Barway Collins murder, and the Red Lake mass school shooting. In 2010, SA Lisher was awarded a Combat Theater Award for his work in support of Operation Enduring Freedom while deployed in Afghanistan. In addition to his regular duties, SA Lisher is a trained hostage negotiator.
SA Lisher holds Bachelor's Degrees in International Relations and Political Science from the American University in Washington, DC. Following his undergraduate studies, SA Lisher received his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from the American University's Washington College of Law, where he also served as an Editor on the International Law Review. Prior to joining the FBI, SA Lisher practiced law with one of the nation’s preeminent law firms based in Washington, DC, where he routinely counseled Fortune 500 companies and also practiced with the Consumer Protection Bureau of the Federal Trade Commission.
While not hunting for terrorists, Craig spends his time with his wife and three children fixing the things they break around the house and coaching their sports teams.
